The firm of Allan Diamond, Architect has provided architectural
services to clients in British Columbia since 1977, and as a small general
practice, takes pride in offering architectural services that are personable,
and strive to provide innovative design solutions responsive to the program
of the individual client.
The firm has developed from a residential client base with an emphasis on
renovations and
custom homes to a wider scope including sensitive
heritage
restorations,
commercial and
light industrial work. The practice maintains a specific interest in the
adaptive re-use and rehabilitation of existing building stock and heritage
structures. In recognition of this interest the firm has been the recipient
of several awards for work in this area.
In recent years the client base has expanded to include more complex projects
such as
mixed use and multi-family building
projects.
The objective of the firm however has been to maintain a continuity of personal
care and attention to detail. Emphasis is placed on the quality of design,
concern for the program needs and budget as expressed by the client, and performance
within realistic time constraints. The tools for the delivery of these projects
are "clear communication" amongst all participants in the design
process, and the "proactive coordination" of the consultant team.
The members of the office of Allan Diamond, Architect endeavor to bring these
qualities to all projects. The objective of the firm is to work together with
the client and other consultant members in a true "team" fashion.
The members of the office of Allan Diamond, Architect, maintain a balanced
background in new construction, renovation work, and commercial interior design.
The members of the office have a sound knowledge of the National and B.C.
Building Codes and are well aware of the Code equivalence appeals process.
Allan Diamond, Architect, has maintained throughout the years in practice
a good working relationship with consultants, clients, and Authorities in
Jurisdiction.
